On 10 September 2026, the Il-76 aircraft of EMERCOM of Russia had a technical day, in accordance with international aviation procedures.

From 11 September 2026, the Il-76 will resume firefighting operations in the Republic of Serbia.

Since the beginning of its firefighting mission in Serbia the Il-76 has completed a total of 63 sorties, dropping 2,646 tonnes of water on wildfire areas.
