On 8 September 2026, an Il-76 aircraft of EMERCOM of Russia carried out a total of four firefighting sorties: two over the wildfire on Suva Planina and two over the wildfire in the Deliblato Sands.

During the operations, the aircraft dropped a total of 168 tonnes of water on the affected areas.

Since the beginning of its firefighting mission in Serbia, as of 8 September 2026, the Il-76 has completed a total of 59 sorties, dropping 2,478 tonnes of water on wildfire areas.
