An Il-76 aircraft of EMERCOM of Russia carried out another aerial firefighting operation today in the Deliblatska Pessara area. The crew successfully targeted major fire hotspots, helping to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading towards nearby populated areas.

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić thanked the Russian Federation for its assistance, highlighting the effectiveness of the Il-76 crew and the precision of the water drops. According to the President, the aircraft’s operations helped protect around 50 properties from the advancing fire.
