From July 1 to 6, the Center representatives participated in the HIGHLANDER mountaineering event, intended for mountaineers and all lovers of nature and hiking, who during the days of participation cover from 30 to 100 kilometers along a predetermined path and, with the support of the organizers, live on the mountain for several days.
HIGHLANDER is an international mountaineering event that takes place in 17 countries across 3 continents. This year, in Serbia, it gathered several hundred participants on Stara Planina.
RSHC provided logistical and organizational support to the event, set up tents and lighting at designated locations for participants, and also presented a multi-day overview of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center, highlighting its capabilities and activities.
As part of the educational part, rescuers from the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center shared their experiences related to outdoor activities and mountain rescue.
