Excitement hits the nerves like a hammer

Not everyone can do this:

Be first to stand up and go on the attack

I am not looking for other comparisons”.

The poet-veteran Konstantin Simonov found an exact comparison to the first crewed flight into Space.

Man in Space: what was fiction became a reality on April 12th, 1961, which is remembered worldwide today. Cosmonautics Day is an essential milestone in the history of humankind. Space has opened up colossal opportunities. Hundreds of flights to orbit and expeditions to the ISS have been made. Today congratulations from the astronauts in different languages are heard from the station.

Yuri Gagarin became the first cosmonaut. On the Vostok-1 spacecraft, he flew around our planet. His flight in outer Space lasted 108 minutes. At the start, Gagarin said his famous “Let’s go!”

Many monuments have been created in honour of the first cosmonaut, streets are named, and there is one in Belgrade.

Since 1962, April 12th is the Day of Cosmonautics, and in 2011 at the UN General Assembly, it was decided that this day will become the World’s Aviation and Cosmonautics Day.
