At the invitation of the Scout Association of Serbia, on June 5, 2024, RSHC representatives, together with representatives of the Serbian Rescue Team, the Red Cross, and the Voluntary Fire Department “Stevan Sindjelic” from Nis, participated in the evacuation exercise of students and teaching staff from the Student House « Karađorđe” in Belgrade. According to the exercise scenario, an earthquake hit the Student Dormitory building. It was necessary to evacuate people from the upper floors of the building and provide them with first aid.
During the exercise, 350 people were evacuated, 40 of them with the help of mountaineering rescue equipment.
