Exercises of Balkan rescuers

From 12 to 15 of May, international exercises of voluntary rescuers took place in the Valjevo area. The Serbian Rescue Team, Mountain Rescue Service of the Republic of Srpska BiH, the Hungarian Volunteer Rescue Team “Buda” and instructors of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center participated in the training.

During exercises, skills of setting up a camp to accommodate arriving forces and equipment, rescue from a height with the help of climbing equipment, evacuating victims using ropes, and conducting search and rescue operations in caves and on the lake were practiced, also emergency rescue equipment of Serbian manufacturers was tested.

RSHC specialists organized practices and provided equipment for setting up the camp and other necessary tools.

The participants highly appreciated the exercises and suggested holding such activities on a permanent basis in turn in each of the countries.
