From May 17 to 19, representatives of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center participated in the international exercise “RESCUE 2024”, organized by the European Association of Civil Protection Volunteer Teams “EVOLSAR.” The exercise was held at the volunteer organization “Edelweiss” in Soverato, Italy.
Twenty-three teams from 16 countries attended the exercise. As part of the proposed scenarios, volunteers were divided into teams. They practiced skills in extracting a victim from the rubble, searching for a victim with the help of trained rescue dogs, lifting a victim from a well and providing first aid, transporting a victim by helicopter, etc.
Also, during the event, a film about the activities of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center was shown, a training center under construction was presented, and the possibilities of training European volunteer teams at the Center’s training facilities were discussed.
