“Emergency Rescue Operations with Electric Vehicles” ICDO training course in Belarus

On July 15-26, the Center representative completed training on the topic: “Organization and conduct of emergency rescue operations during the elimination of emergencies on electric vehicles and their analogs,” which was held at the University of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergencies of Belarus under the auspices of the International Civil Defense Organization in Minsk.

Representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Palestine, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Sudan came together to study the European and domestic experience of conducting rescue operations on electric transport. During the training, participants practiced skills for stabilizing electric vehicles, de-energizing them, unblocking victims, providing first aid, cooling power batteries, and extinguishing fires on electric vehicles.

At the field training, participants familiarized themselves with the device’s features, fire hazards, and electrical safety of quarry dump trucks with alternative energy sources.

Practical training was also conducted at the Republican Center for Simulation Training of the Belarusian State Medical University, where firefighters practiced unblocking and providing first aid to victims of road accidents.
