A five-day training course on “Organizing Collapse Search and Rescue Operations” involving of instructor from the St. Petersburg University of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia was held at the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center for ten representatives of EMS of Ministry of Interior of Serbia.
The course included one day of theoretical and four days of practical training. During the course, the participants practiced stabilizing structures using both existing and locally manufactured equipment at the Center’s fire and rescue training ground, searching for victims using vibration and video-acoustic devices (Holmatrо), destroying structures using power tools, navigating through collapse objects with subsequent victim extraction, and first aid providing.
