A three-day training course on “Search and Orientation in Smoke-Filled Environments” was held at the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center for 10 firefighters and rescuers of the Emergency Management Sector of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia.

During the training, participants refreshed their knowledge of proper use of personal protective equipment and breathing apparatus, practiced operating in confined spaces, and improved their search techniques in small-area environments.

Special attention was given to hands-on training, including forcible entry using manual tools, hose line deployment, and nozzle handling techniques in smoke and fire conditions.

At the “Tactical Town” training complex, firefighters worked through realistic scenarios in a smoke-filled multi-storey building, practicing fire suppression, search and evacuation of a casualty, as well as rescuing a firefighter who had fallen through a burned-out section of the structure.

The training took place from March 23 to 25.
