The Center continues to work on strengthening scientific cooperation with the countries of the Balkan region

On July 20-21, 2023, the Center took part in the International Conference on Transboundary Erosion and Watershed Pollution that took place in the Ceremonial Hall of the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade with reports: “Methodology for monitoring the risks of collapse of roads, buildings, and structures due to soil erosion” and “Geoqualimetric and cartographic models of the level of erosion and environmental hazard of watersheds.”

President of the Faculty of Geography of the Moscow State University after M.V. Lomonosov, First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society academician N.S. Kasimov wished the RSHC great success and highly appreciated the reports on the practical application of scientific achievements in the work of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.

Vice-Rector of the University of Belgrade R. Ristic spoke about the active interaction with the RSHC in previous years and expressed his wish to visit the Center again in September to discuss with the co-directors the possibility of resuming cooperation.

On the sidelines of the conference, meetings were held with Serbian and foreign experts.
