A delegation of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, headed by the Chief of Staff of the Minister, Nikolai Borisov, as well as a delegation of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) led by the Deputy Secretary General of the ICDO, Roman Lapin, paid a working visit to the Republic of Serbia from 20 to 24 October 2025.
On 21 October, a meeting was held at the Palace of Serbia with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, to discuss further improving cooperation between the two countries in the field of emergencies, through bilateral relations, involving RSHC and ICDO.
During the visit to the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center in Nis, the delegations became acquainted with the Center’s material and technical capabilities, visited the fire and rescue training ground, and viewed a photo exhibition dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia. On the same day, a joint HSE demonstration exercise was held on the topic of eliminating an emergency at the location of the NIS oil and gas storage facility.
On October 23, a regular session of the RSHC Management Board was held, at which the parties summarized the results of implementing the RSHC Development Program for the period 2022-2024 and agreed on further plans and perspectives for the RSHC’s development.
As part of the visit, a tour of the Zlatibor-Cajetina and Mecavnik fire and rescue units was also organized.
