From October 29 to November 2, the representative of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center took part in the international exercises “SAR2021 “, organized by the European Association of Volunteer Civil Protection Teams EVOLSAR at the Portuguese Rescue School in the Penela village.
Teams from GIANNINO CARIA, EDELWEISS (Italy), EPOMEA (Greece), EFRU (Malta), BUDA (Hungary), IEDO – International Emergency Drone Organization (France), UCRS Madrid (Spain) arrived at the exercise.
Teams of volunteers from 10 countries demonstrated well-coordinated work during search and rescue operations in caves, retrieving the victim from the vehicle, rescuing in the rubble, searching for the victim with the help of rescue dogs, etc.
At the team leaders’ meeting, the presentation of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center and its capabilities for training firefighters and rescuers were made. EVOLSAR president Pasquale Pipicelli invited the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center to join the organization and take part in exercises in Italy in March 2022 and in July 2022 in Malta.
