Eight firefighter-rescuers from the Civil Protection Administration of the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) completed the training course “Basics of Smoke Diver Operations” at the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center.

During the training, participants refreshed their knowledge of safe operations with breathing apparatus, practiced working in confined spaces, and carried out search activities in limited areas. The main focus was on hands-on practice, including door forcible entry, hose line deployment, and other essential firefighting techniques.

The course concluded with practical scenarios in a smoke-filled multi-storey building, featuring fire suppression as well as search and evacuation of a casualty.

The training was conducted from 26 to 30 January.
