The Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center is concluding 2025 with a training course, “Basics of Smoke Diver Operations,” for firefighter-rescuers of the Republic Administration of Civil Protection of the Republic of Srpska (BiH).

During the training, eight participants refreshed their knowledge of safety procedures when working with breathing apparatus, practiced operations in confined spaces, and mastered elements of survival and self-rescue in fire conditions. Particular attention was paid to practical skills such as forcible entry, hose line deployment using various methods, and other tactical techniques.

The Center instructors developed practical scenarios simulating operations in a smoke-filled multi-storey building, including the search for and evacuation of a victim. This final exercise served as a kind of practical examination, which the firefighters completed.

The training was conducted from 22 to 26 of December.
