A two-day training on the topic: “Flashover” was held at the RSHC for 10 members of the EMS of the MI of Serbia.
During the theoretical part, firefighters and rescuers learned about the proper use of isolation apparatus and protective equipment, the theory of combustion, as well as techniques for analyzing and “reading” smoke to recognize dangerous phenomena in a fire.
On the second day, practical exercises were held on the “Iron House” model and the “Phoenix” simulator. Participants observed a demonstration of fire development, from the initial phase to the fully developed phase, using a thermal imaging camera, as well as practical demonstrations of phenomena such as the neutral zone, rollover, flashover, smoke explosion, and hydroventilation.
The training was held on December 4th and 5th.
