Use of Thermal Imaging Cameras – Training Course at RSHC

A five-day training course entitled “Thermal Imaging Training for Fire Suppression Management Specialists” was held at the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center for 10 employees of the EMS of the MI of Serbia, with the involvement of an instructor from the Ivanovo Fire and Rescue Academy of the State Fire Service of the EMERCOM of Russia.

During the theoretical part, participants studied the fundamentals of fire thermography and the interpretation of infrared images. In the practical sessions, Serbian firefighters learned how to use thermal imaging cameras on live-fire house mock-ups and fire simulators, as well as techniques for conducting thermal imaging reconnaissance to search for victims and fire seats both outside and inside structures.

Training period: December 15–19.
