From December 15 to 19, instructors of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center conducted a training course titled “Basics of Smoke Diver Operations” for eight firefighter-rescuers from the Republic Administration of Civil Protection of Republika Srpska (BiH).

The trainees mastered safe techniques for working with breathing apparatus, actions in confined spaces, as well as survival and self-rescue skills in fire conditions. The program also included door breaching, laying hose lines using various methods, providing first aid, and transporting casualties.

At the conclusion of the course, the firefighter-rescuers completed comprehensive practical exercises based on assigned scenarios under smoke-filled conditions in a simulated multi-story building, closely replicating real fireground conditions.
